1. Overview

Sky Simple AAC is an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) board application designed to help nonverbal individuals, including children with autism, communicate through visual tiles. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Sky Simple AAC does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with us or any third parties, with the limited exceptions described in this policy (subscription billing and RevenueCat).

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide (Stored Locally Only)

All of the following is stored only on your device and never transmitted to our servers:

Tiles and categories — Labels, colors, emojis, and order preferences
Photos — Images selected from your gallery or captured with the camera
Voice recordings — Custom audio recordings for tiles
Game statistics — Learning game accuracy data
App settings — Speech rate and other preferences

2.2 Information Collected by Third-Party Services

RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat may collect:

A randomly generated anonymous user identifier (no name or email)
Purchase transaction data — subscription status, purchase dates, product identifiers
Device information — device type, OS version, app version (for billing purposes)

RevenueCat does not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information unless you explicitly provide it. All purchase data is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

All payment processing is handled by Apple or Google. We do not have access to your payment card information. Please refer to their privacy policies:

3. How We Use Information

We do not use your personal information for any purpose. The anonymous subscription data collected by RevenueCat is used solely to:

Verify your subscription status
Provide access to premium features
Process refunds or restore purchases

4. Device Permissions

The app requests the following permissions to provide its core features:

You may deny any permission. The app will continue to function with reduced functionality.

Sky Simple AAC is designed for use by parents, caregivers, and therapists on behalf of nonverbal children. The app itself is not directed at children independently — it requires adult configuration.

We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and GDPR-K:

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
We do not display advertisements
We do not include behavioral tracking or analytics SDKs
The anonymous RevenueCat identifier is not linked to any child’s identity
All communication tile data remains on the device under the parent or guardian’s control

5.1 Parental Rights

Parents and guardians have full control over their child’s data:

Review — All tiles, photos, recordings, and settings are visible and accessible directly within the app
Delete — Parents can remove any custom tile, photo, or recording from within the app at any time
Full removal — Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from the device
Subscription data — Parents can request deletion of the anonymous RevenueCat identifier by contacting us at kctstech@gmail.com
Permissions — Parents can revoke camera, photo library, or microphone permissions at any time through the device’s system settings

No account or login is required to use the app. There is no data stored on external servers that is linked to your child’s identity.

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information. We may disclose information only:

To RevenueCat — for subscription management as described above
To Apple/Google — for payment processing
As required by law — if compelled by a valid legal process

7. Data Retention and Deletion

App Data (Local)

All app data (tiles, photos, recordings, settings) is stored on your device. You can delete it at any time:

iOS: Settings → General → iPhone/iPad Storage → Sky Simple AAC → Delete App
Android: Settings → Apps → Sky Simple AAC → Storage → Clear Data

RevenueCat Data

To request deletion of your RevenueCat anonymous identifier and associated purchase records, contact us at kctstech@gmail.com and we will submit a deletion request on your behalf. Note: Apple and Google retain transaction records independently per their own policies.

8. Data Security

All app data is stored locally using the device’s built-in secure storage
No personal data is transmitted over the internet by our app
Subscription data transmitted to RevenueCat is encrypted in transit (HTTPS)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
